Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Farm to Door™ program?

With over 100 years of planting experience at Weston Nurseries, we know the importance of starting your garden bed with healthy and vigorous plants. Whether you pick your plants up at one of our retail locations, or we deliver them to you, you can count on us to provide plants that will thrive in your landscape for years to come.

In an effort to offer our New England customers a quick and convenient way to get healthy plants to their doorstep, we’ve partnered with a wholesale farm to launch our Farm to Door™ program. Now Weston Nurseries customers can shop on our website, pick out their plants, and have them delivered right to their doorstep.

How do you ship?

Once you place your order, your plant will be carefully selected and inspected to ensure that it meets our high health standards. Then, your plants are packaged for protection during transit using specially designed materials and boxes.

When you receive your plants, remove them from their packaging as soon as possible and water them thoroughly. You can read our New Plant Care Guidelines for more details on preparing your bed, transplanting and irrigation.

How long does shipping take?

Most plants ship 1 to 2 business days after you place you order. Shipping then usually takes 3 to 5 days, for a total of 5 to 7 business days after you place your order. You will get an email with tracking information when your order has been processed.

Who should I contact if I have questions?

Our knowledgeable staff at Weston Nurseries is here for you for all your plant care questions! Click here for our contact info.

What is the refund/warranty policy?

Why do you only ship to certain states?

We're limiting our Farm To Door™ shipments to our neighboring and nearby states at first to make sure the plants arrive in the best possible condition. As we gain more experience and feel we can expand to other states without compromising quality, we hope to expand to all the states that allow plant shipments.

What does 8" Pot, #1 Pot, #2 Pot & #3 Pot mean?

Farm To Door plants are available in 8", #1, #2 & #3 container sizes. The number refers to the approximate size of the container and how much soil it holds. For example, a number-one (#1) container holds approximately one gallon of soil.

Some plants are available in more than one container size.
